AWARDS, DECORATIONS AND BADGES

The award system in the RPS German forces recognizes members for achievements and efforts on and off the battlefield. The awards are the same as the World War II decorations and, when possible, are awarded for similar actions.

There are two types of award criteria:
1. Actions on the battlefield, which are voted on by the unit commanders committee.
2. Battle days (participation) awards which depend on the number and/or type of battle days or participation a member has accumulated.

Members who meet the listed criteria are authorized to wear the appropriate decorations on their wool tunics in the proper place. Under no circumstances is a member to wear an unearned decoration, award or badge. No decoration, award, or badge may be worn without the express permission of the unit commanders committee. All decorations will be original, or approved reproduction in the same size, weight, and color.
